The author recapitulates and discusses the non-conventional fatty oil yielding plants, 'Indian Butter tree' or Hill Mahua Plant', 'Himalayan Neolitsea', 'Wild Apricot', 'Himalayan Prinsepia' or 'Royal oil' used by the people of Uttarakhand for edible and medicinal purposes.
