Abstract

In this communication, the physiography of Ladakh the important towns and cities, the monasteries or Gumpas, its ethnography of dealing with (a). People, (b). Language, (c).The Houses where they pass six months remaining  inside the house.The Ethno-pharmacology of the common  diseases and their treatment by the indigenous medical facilities available like; Unani & Talisman and  Amchi system. The history of Amchi system of medicine. The treatment by  Amchis  by herbs and  in this article only about 25 important herbs are described in brief.
