Neem possesses a very strong ability to affect different types of cancers. Since quite a long time, neem has been successfully used to reduce cancerous tumors. The phytochemicals in Neem bark, leaves, and seeds like polysaccharides and limonoids were found to reduce tumors and cancers. They were also found very effective against lymphocytic leukemia. A significant reduction in tumor size was noticed when Neem extracts were injected around the tumors was reported in one of the study. Neem extracts were tested against solid tumors at different doses and were compared with the effectiveness of a standard anti-cancer agent. Neem extract were found equal to or better than the standard anti-cancer agent. In comparison to the extremely purified standard anti-cancer agent, these Neem extracts were very crude. But a more purified extract of neem bark, gave better results against solid tumors. Superb results are expected using pure active compounds at least equal to the control.

In case of skin cancers neem shows fantastic results. Patients affected by skin cancers reported that their skin cancer was disappeared after a regular application of a neem based cream for several months. Cancer cells cannot spread through the body without the ability to stick to other cells, and are more easily destroyed by the body's own immune system or by other treatments. Extract of neem leaves was found to prevent the adhesion of cancer cells to other cells in the body.
