Screening of phytochemical and invitro activity of
Euphorbia hirta linn.

Abstract

In this study, the phytochemical constituents of Euphorbia hirta linn were screened through TLC and GC-MS studies and the invitro antioxidant activity of the alcohol and acetone extract of leaf of Euphorbia hirta linn was also investigated. From this study, it was found that Euphorbia hirta has flavanoids, steroids and phenols which was screened through TLC and GC-MS analysis. In invitro activity, the highest inhibitory activity of Euphorbia hirta was found in acetone extract when compared to alcoholic extract.
