Abstract
Ethanolic extract of leaves of Adansonia gregorii included in malvaceae family was screened for phytochemical constituents and antimicrobial activities towards five pathogens (i.e) bacteria and three fungi. Leaf extract of A.gregorii showed the highest antimicrobial activity. Phytochemical analysis of all the extracts revealed that the antimicrobial activity of the plant material is due to the presence of phenolic compound.
