Euphorbia Tirucalli Linn: An Update A Review

AbstractHerbal medicine is still the mainstay of about 75–80% of the world population, mainly in the developing countries, for primary health care because of better cultural acceptability, better compatibility with the human body and lesser side effects. The use of plants for medicines or tonic properties goes back to prehistoric times & has attracted the interest of scientists for centuries. In Sanskrit Euphorbia tirucalli Linn means “Sehund or Vajradruma”. The juice is purgative, carminative;useful in gonorrhoea, whooping cough, asthma, dropsy, leprosy, enlargement of spleen, dyspepsia, jaundice, stone in the bladder.
